Leading up to the International Day of Women and Girls in Science on February 11, we’re spotlighting some of the incredible women in science at the Institute for Better Health (IBH).

This year, Simone Harrington, Vice President, IBH, has been recognized with a Distinguished Alumni Award, Faculty of Science, from the University of Waterloo (UW). The UW Alumni Awards recognize exceptional individuals and their efforts to build a better world, underscoring Simone’s exceptional dedication and contributions to driving transformative changes in health care.

Her unique blend of skills in strategy, project management and policy positions her as a driving force behind health system transformation with an aim to create a new kind of health care for a healthier community.
