As the Manager, Research Ethics, Infrastructure & Oversight, Kylie is responsible for managing and overseeing the organization-wide research ethics, infrastructure and oversight functions of the hospital to enable continued engagement in the ethical and responsible conduct of health and human research; this includes managing the institutions responsible conduct of research framework, processes and practices. With over 20 years of experience in various aspects of health research administration in the public sector, and pharmaceutical research in the private sector Kylie’s goal and priorities are focused on ensuring that appropriate and sufficient processes and tools are in place, to enable and empower our researchers to ethically engage in research through shared accountability and application of the appropriate guidelines, regulations and polices; therefore minimizing and mitigating all risks to our organization and ensuring the safety of our research participants, including patients, staff, students, physicians, volunteers, families and the community we serve. . Kylie’s leadership and expertise are informed by various roles she has held in the health research sector, including the roles of the Research Ethics Board Coordinator, Research Ethics and Quality Assurance Officer and interim Research Operations Manager at Trillium Health Partners. Kylie has a bachelor in Psychology, and has certifications in Applied Behavioral Therapy and Family Mediation.
