With a background in public health and a passion for engaging and working with diverse communities, Shiza has supported various knowledge translation (KT) and engagement activities across the organization. In her current role at the Institute for Better Health, Shiza is responsible for engaging diverse stakeholder groups to identify their KT and research communication needs and provide support in integrating KT strategies in their research and dissemination activities. With over 4 years of experience in the KT and engagement space and a passion for applying human centered design principles to her work, Shiza has utilized her knowledge translation abilities to co-design tailored reports, educational materials (e.g. presentations) along with key strategic communication pieces (e.g. annual reports, briefs) aimed at informing different target audiences.
