
Ilyse Lax
Ilyse Lax is a passionate health system change agent with a decade of health care experience across care settings. Her work, as Project Manager of Health System Innovation, is fuelled by co-creating innovative models of care with system integration at their core. Ilyse holds Masters Degrees from the University of Toronto in Experimental Psychology (research), Occupational Therapy (clinical), and is currently a candidate in Health Care Administration (management). Drawing on her unique background, Ilyse has enabled complex strategic transformation including – the Rehabilitation Consultation Program at the Pencer Brain Tumour Centre at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, integrated oncology rehabilitation pathways across University Health Network, and virtual inter-professional long-COVID care service at Toronto Rehabilitation Institute. Most recently, Ilyse managed all project controls and clinical operations for mass and mobile COVID-19 Vaccination at THP. As an Adjunct Lecturer at the University of Toronto, Department of Rehabilitation Sciences, Ilyse received a Clinical Fieldwork Educator Award (2019). As a leader and educator, Ilyse strives to innovate beyond traditional health care models by taking a systems approach and empowering frontline teams and people with lived experience at every stage.
