Biography
Dr. Robert Reid is the inaugural Hazel McCallion Research Chair in Learning Health Systems, Chief Scientist at the Institute for Better Health (IBH) and Senior Vice President of Science at Trillium Health Partners (THP). As one of the largest community hospital systems in Canada with a diverse and growing population, THP’s mission is to create a new kind of health care for a healthier community. IBH, THP’s embedded research and innovation engine, focuses on generating cutting-edge science and innovation on novel ways to engage, design, deliver and finance health care, and on creating partnerships with patients, caregivers and our community in the pursuit of improving population health.

Simone Harrington, MBA

Biography
Over the past 15 years, Simone has focused on joining her skills in strategy, project management, and policy change to drive health system transformation. Through her leadership and expertise in utilizing new and innovative processes and technologies, Simone is passionate about shaping a healthier tomorrow for the community, region and beyond. In her current role as Vice President, Trillium Health Partners’ (THP) Institute for Better Heath (IBH), is responsible for driving research, innovation and generating transformative health care solutions to support our ability continue to provide accessible, high quality care now and in the future at THP. In this role, Simone works with the IBH administrative teams including research operations, communications and data discovery to support the scientific endeavours of the Institute, as well responsibility for driving THP’s innovation strategy and partnership projects.


Delilah Ofosu-Barko, BMSc

Biography
With over 13 years of experience, Delilah is passionate about the education, engagement and promotion of health research. Recognized as a national and international solution-focused leader in Research Administration Delilah builds and maintains synergistic, dynamic and highly-engaged teams of research leaders.
Leveraging strategic networks, Delilah is committed to enhancing the enabling supports and services for health research and health improvement, including the tools, processes and approaches to effectively manage research and improvement activities at the corporate, provincial and national level.

Christine Plaza, BDes
Manager, Strategic Design & Knowledge Translation

Biography
With over 12 years of experience, Christine is passionate about the intersection of human-centred design and health to improve systems, services, programs and experiences for patients and providers.
In her current role at the Institute for Better Health, Christine is responsible for developing and managing a department that is focused on using human centred design to create innovative solutions that address the needs of patients and providers across the hospital and community. Using end-to-end design approaches, Christine engages with stakeholders across the system to understand needs, identify problems, create and iteratively test ideas, implement and measure solutions, and share new knowledge.


Morgan E. Lim, MA, PhD
Manager, Data, Insights & Advanced Analytics
Biography
Morgan is working towards transforming health care in a way that represents and is tailored towards the needs, preferences and values of our diverse population. She is the Manager of Data and Advanced Analytics and an Assistant Scientist at IBH.
Morgan leads the data and advanced analytic function for research and innovation from vision development, planning and implementation. She leads and manages use case development and proof of concepts to drive value for patients and the hospital. Morgan is passionate about building a motivated data team who approach problems with product thinking, human-centered design and an agile mindset.
