Asli Nur is a multidisciplinary researcher, multilingual translator, and urban grower. She holds a Master of Public Health in Black Health from the Dalla Lana School of Public Health at the University of Toronto, a professional certificate in Urban Agriculture, and is an incoming PhD student in Urban Health at Toronto Metropolitan University. Her previous research has explored the impact of COVID-19 on African and Black communities in Canada and globally. She is experienced in co-design processes and has contributed to literature recognizing women’s contributions to care and health work, alongside the integration of arts-based research methods. Asli is dedicated to developing sustainable healthcare systems and is deeply committed to advancing maternal health, food security, and contributing to global health dialogues. She approaches systems-level change by centrering lived experiences, applying strategic knowledge translation, and addressing the structural factors that influence health, bridging research and real-world impact.
